Crispy Chicken Fillet Caesar Wrap

For a mouth watering quick meal or snack this flavour some wrap is sure to be a crowd pleaser. With crispy chicken strips, soft melt in your mouth wrap and zingy Praise Caesar Dressing it ticks all the boxes for flavour and texture.
Makes 10, scale as needed.


20 L Crisco Liquid Gold Fryer oil
20 each Chicken fillets (Tenderloins)
250 g White Wings plain flour
5 each Eggs
250 g Goodman Fielder Coarse White Crumb
10 each Wonder Wrap Hi Fibre Plus
300 mL Praise Caesar Dressing
200 g Lettuce or lettuce mix (washed)
450 g Tomatoes, washed and sliced


Step 1

Fill your deep fryer with Crisco Liquid Gold Oil. Pre heat to 180° Celsius

Step 2

To crumb the chicken, dust the chicken in the flour. Beat the eggs well in a bowl and drag each chicken fillet through the egg mix, Transfer into the breadcrumbs lightly pressing to get the crumbs to coat evenly. Deep fry at 180° C until crisp and golden. Remove from the fryer and drain on kitchen paper towel to remove any excess oil.

Step 3

Place lettuce or lettuce mix into a bowl add the Praise Caesar dressing and toss lightly. Lay the Wonder wraps on to a flat clean surface. Down the centre lay the lettuce mix followed by the tomato slices and crispy chicken strips. Roll and serve immediately for optimum freshness.

Suggestions for serving and garnishing

For presentation once the wrap is rolled cut it on an angle to serve.

For extra flavour and texture add some grated parmesan cheese to the crumbs or season the crumbs with spices, herbs or lemon zest.

An easy to prepare meal, make the salad while the chicken is cooking. As an alternative, grated cheese may be sprinkled over the potatoes. Marinate the chicken overnight.
