Meet the Prawn Dog – chef Jesse McTavish’s epic Aussie take on an American classic. Simple and summery, this delicious dish packs prawns coated in a zesty finger lime mayo into a mouth-watering bun.

Ingredients
Serves:
- 300 g King prawns (peeled an cleaned)
- 2 each Hot dogs
- 100 g Praise Whole Egg Mayonnaise
- 2 each Finger limes
- 1 g Lemon zest
- 100 g Fennel (finely sliced)
- 100 mL Apple cider vinegar
- 50 g Sugar
- 2 g Salt
- 2 g Chives (chopped)
- 20 g Watercress
Method
STEP 1
To create the finger lime mayonnaise, mix the Praise Whole Egg Mayonnaise, finger limes and lime zest.
STEP 2
For the pickled fennel, boil the apple cider vinegar, sugar and salt. Then, pour over finely sliced fennel.
STEP 3
Combine the prawns and finger lime mayonnaise.
STEP 4
Slice the hot dog buns.
STEP 5
Fill buns with watercress and prawns. Top with pickled fennel.
STEP 6
Garnish with chopped chives. Serve.
