- 2 each Large Granny Smith Apples, peeled & chopped
- 50 g CSR Caster Sugar (CSR Sugar Caster 25 kg)
- 20 mL Lemon Juice
- 4 g Cinnamon
- 2 each Pampas Puff Pastry Sheets, cut into quarters (Pampas 10 Puff Pastry Sheets 6 x 1.6kg)
- 80 g Salted Butter
- 120 g CSR Brown Sugar (CSR Brown Sugar 25kg)
- 100 mL Thickened Cream
- 1 each Vanilla Ice Cream
- 1 each CSR Pure Icing Sugar, for dusting (CSR Pure Icing Sugar 25kg)

Apple Pie Jaffle with Caramel Sauce

Method
1. In a pan over medium heat, cook the chopped apples, caster sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon until the apples are tender and have a jam-like consistency. Set aside to cool.
2. Caramel Sauce: Melt the butter and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium-high heat until the sugar dissolves and the mixture bubbles. Stir in the thickened cream and cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring continuously until the sauce thickens.
3. Place one pastry square into each side of a preheated jaffle maker to form the base. Spoon in the apple mixture, then top with another pastry square. Close the jaffle maker and cook for 8-10 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and crisp.
4. Serve each jaffle with a drizzle of caramel sauce, a dusting of icing sugar and a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a perfect finish
